Great experience with Ryan - had (what we thought) was an issue with the starter on my Toyota Tundra. Ryan diagnosed the actual problem quickly and ended up saving me ~$1K (only charged for the hour or so he spent during diagnosis.) Very professional, fair, and trustworthy. Will certainly be coming back for future service requests.

A couple of weeks ago, I hit a patch of gravel while driving, temporarily lost control of the steering, and skidded into a curb. I wasn’t going fast, but it was enough to break my front right lower control arm. Oh—at the time, I had no idea that’s what I had done. All I knew was that the tire was completely cattywampus—crookeder than a dog’s hind leg, as your grandpa might have said—and it was not moving.  As I was frantically trying to arrange for a tow while my fellow morning commuters expressed their sympathy with honks and colorful hand gestures, a guy passing by in his work truck pulled over and asked if I needed help with a push. I explained that I was pretty sure the front axle was bent, the car was immovable (and possibly totaled). That’s when he introduced himself as Johna, a mobile mechanic with MD Automotive, and offered to assess the situation.  Braving traffic, he crawled under the car, immediately diagnosed the problem, and even gave me a rough estimate of how much it would cost and how long it would take to repair. Truly, if I was destined to have this particular accident on this particular day, it was a godsend that someone so friendly and knowledgeable happened by. Johna helped me get my car into a safer place (I could drive a very short distance in reverse), gave me the owner’s business card, and bid me a good day.  I called Ryan Mura shortly thereafter, and Johna had already apprised him of my situation. Ryan was also very professional, quoted me a fair price for the repair, and set up a time to fix my car as soon as the part could be ordered/retrieved (a few days later). I had never used a mobile mechanic service before, but it made sense that their lower overhead meant they could charge significantly less than a brick-and-mortar automotive shop. I was so impressed by both Johna and Ryan that I decided to green-light the repair.  Come the morning of the repair, Johna arrived punctually, installed the new lower control arm efficiently, and checked related systems like the brakes. Upon test driving, while the car was once again drivable, it was clear the alignment was significantly off. Johna explained that alignment jobs require highly specialized equipment and precise calibration—something best done at a shop with the right machines and tools.  I really appreciated his frankness and honesty about his limitations as a mobile mechanic. When I took my car into the dealership the next day to get the alignment fixed, they told me that whoever had repaired the control arm had done a really good job.  Ten out of ten times, I would work with Johna and Ryan again. They were highly personable, highly skilled, and displayed a high degree of integrity in how they conducted themselves and their business (my repair was guaranteed for a year, by the way). While I hope I don’t need any more car repairs anytime soon, I feel like I’ve found my forever mechanics with these guys.  If, like me, you’re hesitant to use a mobile mechanic, consider this your word of encouragement. Five stars all the way.

Ryan’s team was gonna be available to come within a handful of hours but after further conversations, he was able to determine that it just needed a new battery. Professional but easy going. Reasonably priced. He was out within 30 minutes of calling and had everything fixed super quick.  I'm used to mechanics talking down to me (I'm female) but he didn't. He was professional, easy going, treated me with respect, and acknowledged my own car knowledge (which is limited to only survival level).

I had took it upon myself to replace my brakes. I successfully changed out my front ones but ran into some trouble with replacing the rear brakes with pushing back the caliper. I called Mike, and I’m glad I did because he is awesome. He came when he said he would, and replaced both sets of rear brakes in 30 mins. Very reliable, very efficient, and very professional. 12/10 would recommend

Michael took care of me pretty quick. he was very patient with me coming home from work and getting stuck in traffic so I can give him the keys as well. I managed to diagnose the car (mostly) myself and deducted I needed a new starter. After informing him, he said the 140 diagnostic fee had to be paid, but he'd reduce it from the total after the repairs. He shot me a fair quote to replacement of the starter and got it done in quick!

Mike was awesome. He took care of our car repair quickly and efficiently. Since it didn't take him long to fix it, he didn't charge us anything. We will be going to him for all our future auto repair work. Highly recommend !!

Great service, my starter was starting to go out and eventually went out. Called Miller’s mobile mechanic and showed up very soon. Tested the starter and sure enough it went out. Replaced the part from nearby auto zone and I was good to go. Very satisfied customer to have this resolved .

Honestly my experience with this service was beyond great I was in a crisis with my family of 6, and they came to Austin from Dallas Texas. The car started overheating and I couldn't leave the hotel parking lot he came and looked at it and got the problem fixed. It's definitely a speedy service, with reasonable fees.!!!

My Infiniti had a bad misfire and was barely drivable. They came out, diagnosed it quickly, and got it running smooth again. Super reliable and good pricing

I’m giving it a 1 only because they showed up to do the job (putting on a simple 02 sensor) but the communication was horrible. When they said they were on the way the time kept being pushed back because they had to stop and eat and all these other petty excuses. The lights were still on and they advised my son he needed to drive it about 30 miles before the lights would go out & he did that they were still on so he reached out and no response. I like the convenience of them being mobile but their customer service sucks and the fact that when I asked the girl to reduce the labor she acted like she was doing me a favor; especially after they were 2.5 hours for the appointment time.

Nicole was great. Super professional and got the tire and battery back to normal quickly. Great service!!

I had limited money and wasn’t trynna do major repairs if I didn’t need to. so I paid for a diagnosis to confirm my starter did need to be changed. By having them do the repairs they  waived that diagnosis fee. Saved me money!! And they came to me!!

Literally called them and had them send some one over to me within 45 minutes. I needed a quick fix for my splash guard. John, helped me and explained to me very clearly what he was going to do and what usually the best practices were.  If you are asking for their help, specially after regular hours, be respectful to their after hours fee policy. I called them around 10:30 at night, and had my thing fixed by 11:20.  They are open to negotiate based on the job needed to perform.

Ken responds to his text right away. If you are stranded on the road he shows up and fixes it. However give him at least 24 hours to come out. Reasonable prices and saves us the towing expense if you are stuck. Highly recommended

It's not cheap, but they do come right to your house to fix your car--and it's not as costly as going to the dealer, especially if towing is involved. The mobile mechanic that came to my house is smart and capable. I'd use them again.

Curtis was an absolute life saver. The starter for my car went out while I was at Target getting flowers for my mom who is in the hospital and they very quickly came down at 8 PM and stayed until almost 10 PM fixing my car. They have no idea how much of a life saver they were. I would 100% recommend this service.

Just finished a diagnostic service with Curtis and Justin of Silicon Hills Mobile Mechanics and could not have been more pleased. The service was done efficiently, and scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. Both mechanics were very helpful and knowledgeable and they went above and beyond what I asked for. Going forward, if I do have any issues with my car I will be contacting Silicon Hills first.

The $300 jump. Be aware it costs a total of $300 for them to come out just to look at your car. I called Theo on Sunday evening and he texted me back. Seemed like a scam but he did call me and verify he was human and was at the time very cordial and professional. His texts about fees and a pick up servive(bc my car wasn’t at my apartment) were misleading (attached). The first text says there’s a $150 mobile service fee and then way down in a separate text he says there’s a $150 diagnostic fee which at the time I thought was one in the same bc the texts were pretty far apart. It would have been easier to understand of both fees were put in the same text. Shame on me for not catching that bit it is a little predatory. Saw other reviews saying he’s not good with women and this is 100% true. I had my friend who gave me ride to my car with me and he was trying to call me down because i was shocked that he was charging me another $150 after simply “jumping” my car. Basically $300 for a jump. I still need a new battery but now have to wait for pay day again and figure out how to get to work. As we were having a heated discussion he had all his 5 star reviews pulled up and honestly was unprofessional about the situation. He kept saying “we provided a service, did we not?” Also saying “if you towed your car it would be the same cost” bit I didn’t two my car. As a matter of fact I mentioned towing my car in a text and he said not to so this was a little narcissistic to say. He completely and deliberatley missed my point. He also said in the texts that a tech could pick me up and ended up needing my friend to give me a ride. During the heated discussion he claimed that it was a liability for his techs to pick me up but claimed that was a service they provided in the texts. My friend who took me to my car said he was willing to work with me IF I go over and apologize to him which I didn’t do but did go and talk to him calmly and he started telling at me again and saying things that were unprofessional so I gave up and just paid the $150. Wasn’t worth trying to deal with Theo after that point. He kept hanging around after the argument which was weird and even came up to us saying that I could still get 10% off my next appointment in which my response was “no thank you”. LOL! My car still isn’t fixed but hope he enjoys that $300 and it “serves him accordingly” and lesson learned for me.

These guys are the real deal. Honored all their own advertised assurance. My AC problem was relatively minor and every local shop wanted dramatic dye test, refills and diagnostics asking 3 to over 600 too just look for issues. I'm a mobile tradesman myself so evaluated them by my own standard of care and they exceeded my expectations. Thanks Curtis ( the tech who responded to this call)
