I've been very pleased with a range of services provided by Bison Automotive in the year since I started bringing my car here regularly. The mechanics are as friendly as they are knowledgeable.  They get the job done at a fair price, and I've learned I can trust their work.

We have been leasing for the past 20 years and decided to buy our current vehicles out. The one problem we ran into is that we didn’t have a mechanic that we trusted. I had two different friends recommend Bison, so I decided to give them a call. They got me in the next day for a brake job on our 2021 Mazda. Bob was was great when I dropped it off in the morning, and Charlie was great when I picked it up. Pricing was very fair and I know they stand by their work. Happy to have this shop in my neighborhood.

I worked in the car business at a large dealer for 7 years, dealing with service departments sucks.  Dan at pinpoint gives me concierge service.  He is honest and reasonably priced. He treats my car that other mechanics are afraid to work on like his own. (Hybrid)  My old car was 12 years old and I put a lot of miles on it before giving it to my dad. His long time mechanic screwed it up. Dan swooped in and fixed the mistakes and made the car run better than it ever had while I owned it.  I drop my car off, Dan looks at it and sends me a detailed estimate of the issues. (Perfect for introverts). If you can get in with Dan to have him work on your car you’re lucky.  Dan is the “easy” button for car repairs and maintenance.

I've been taking my cars to Dan for about 10 years. He's always been good to work with and his prices are fair. His location is a little out of the way for me, but completely worth it to deal with someone I trust.

I have finally found my new mechanic 🤩 I was pretty nervous requesting a quote because I was anticipating a stressful outcome with all the damage done to my car.. but thankfully, I spoke with Dan and he made the entire process run sooo smoothly. I received a complete CLEAR detailed breakdown of what repairs were suggested to me, the pricing was affordable and I didn't feel misguided at all. I can't express the gratitude enough, I will definitely be coming to Dan moving forward and referring anyone I know!

In my first use of Pinpoint Repair I was impressed by their examination and repair of my Prius.  Time estimates and labor costs represented the actual time and effort associated with service.  Dan Sciolino is a very experienced, knowledgeable mechanic (especially with the Toyota Prius).  He provides a terrific alternative to dealer service.  I recommend him to city residents or those working on the west side.

Great Mechanic, meticulous, trustworthy, and fair.  Dan has worked on two of my vehicles over the past few years.  I'm always amazed how thoroughly he goes over my vehicles, he has an amazing attention to detail and a great work ethic.  He's never half-assed a job, he always repairs it correctly to manufacturers standards.  For instance, I recently brought my Prius in for a routine brake job and I asked him to look for an oil leak that I thought I might be having.  Dan told me he couldn't find a leak, but my oil reservoir was overfilled(my fault) and could be negatively impacting my mileage.  He drained the reservoir to the appropriate level and did the brake job.  He could have easily charged me for a hose or a gasket or something -- but he didn't because he's an honest and ethical mechanic.  He also noticed a small leak on my right rear tire around the bead and fixed that for free, saying that it was probably pre-existing from when I bought the car from Buffalo Motor Works (I would have just kept adding air to the tire and being frustrated, but Dan found the leak without me even asking).  I highly recommend Pinpoint Repair for their excellent customer service and their dedication to doing the job correctly.

My friends and I went to Buffalo for a quick girls' trip, but on the way back from Niagara Falls, my car started shaking. I was really worried since it was the weekend, and it was my first time being away from our toddler. I called several mechanics, but everyone was booked until midweek.  Then came Shane to the rescue! He responded quickly and was able to see me within 24 hours. He diagnosed the problem in minutes (a tire magnet had fallen off) and even directed me to a place that could fix the tire and do a wheel alignment right away (shoutout to Fox Tire for their amazing service). Shane's kindness and excellent communication made a stressful situation so much easier. Thank you, Shane!

I do not recommend this business. Shane he fixed the control arms on my hyundai truck. However the control arms was still making a knocking sound after he fixed it. I notified Shane of this and he told me to bring my vehicle back and then after that he blocked my phone number!  Shane also when fixing my vehicle brake and rotors left my vehicle in the air on a lift in a public apartment parking lot overnight and he didn't care. He told me he would come back in the morning to finish his work but that was reckless because he should have known not to leave a vehicle on a lift in a public parking lot.  This careless behavior is one of the many reasons why I would not trust this mechanic. If a mechanic is confident in their work they will check over their work not block their customers when they make a mistake.  Business owner reply is false, these photos I have included with this review proves business blocked my phone number when I reported problem with their service, the $400 dispute was because the business owner told me to buy parts and didn't fix my wheel bearing and control arms correctly. This is not a false narrative and I'm not scared of any legal action because my evidence is facts. I didn't notice any problems with the service until the next day after I left business owner property. I have testimonies from two mechanic franchises that prove Shane and his business scammed me and didn't fix my car properly. Also the business has not tried to contact me I have attached a photo to prove the business never contacted me from the number shane said in his response , shane blocked me from contacting the phone number I always have communicated with him with and the photos don't lie.

Shane is awesome. My hyundai sonata 2013 needed a new fuel pump to be installed. I had all the parts and I called shane and he was very helpful in installing it. After he installed it my check engine light came off and the car has been great to drive. I highly recommend him because he does excellent work.

Shane did a great job! After getting a really expensive quote from Mavis for a pretty simple job, I contacted him and he was at my house within one day. His prices are really reasonable and he sticks to his quotes.  As someone who doesn’t know anything about cars, he made sure to be transparent and show/teach me what was going on with my car and that was really very helpful. We will definitely contact him in the future for other work we need done and you should too!

Fast, friendly, and affordable work!  I needed my car battery changed so I called Shane around noon and he was able to be at my home by 4:30.  Not only did he arrive on time but he arrived early!  He completed the job quickly and professionally.  It was fast and convenient.  I will be recommending him to friends and family and using him for personal needs in the future. I like Aaron a lot, he's really straightforward about time and and pricing. He's my go to on repairing my 2004 truck and does his best to fit you in if he's available.

I was able to get my car seen within 2 days of calling. Everything I needed done was done in a day. Very professional, clear communication and reasonable price. So happy I found this shop and I will be returning for any other repairs.

My dad always helped with my cars till he passed and I do know the basics but as nothing stays the same I found this shop and it was a great experience they where kind straight to the point and upfront as a woman that was even more refreshing and they where honest when I did not even need repairs or just a quick fix iam a customer for as long as I drive 😊

I took my truck because it kept over heating. A few hours later I was called to pick it up. It drove fine then it started to do the same thing. Took picked it up same issue (claimed everything was fine). Took it home same issue again so I took it to another place to find out my thermostat needed to be replaced. I would not recommend anyone go there

I work around the corner and heard a noise by my brakes and wanted to get it checked before I went on vacation. They took it in and looked over my brakes and identified that it was just some rust on the breaks without needing a repair. I appreciate this kind of service because tons of places would just say I needed brakes and charge an arm and a leg. Good neighbor service and quality right there! A+

Went to buy gas worker wouldn’t even come to the counter. I’m not gonna make assumptions as to why but I left went down the street to first line it was able to buy gas fot $.50 cheaper.

This place is a blight on the neighborhood. The owners refuse to block off the parking lot when they're closed and allow folks to loiter through the night. The loiterers play incredibly loud music and there's always a bunch of illegal and unregistered dirt bikes and ATVs. I've talked to the owners before and they refused to do anything about the issue. Folks living next door in the Crescendo apartments and those living in apartments across the street have moved out because of the noise. Councilman Rivera has not been helpful and neither has the Mayor's office. This place needs to go.

Quick tire patch. City of good neighbors friendly Buffalo service.  A tad pricy, but what do I know.

The only mechanic that's never lied to me. Honest people who fix what's broken and nothing else. I highly recommend these guys.

Ball Joints, Brakes, Tires, Wheel Bearings, and other basics. Family owned by Joe and his dad. Fabulous customer service, and incredible honesty. Old school in the best sense. If you want an honest opinion go see Joe. Half the time he convinced me no repair is needed. He'll show you exactly what is going on with your car -- total transparency, total trustworthiness. Self service car wash, coin changer, vacuums, garbage cans, and gas -- right on the premises. Right on the major bus route, and lots of restaurants in walking distance while you wait for your car. The only downside: no waiting room. If you're lucky, Dad's Italian friends might be hanging out early in the morning... a decent and friendly bunch. They also employee a mentally challenged girl, and she's friendly and helps out with cleaning and other basic errands. Kudos.
