Moving to a new state as a single Mom is scary enough, but then having to find a mechanic. Even more scary! Only cause I’m use to mine back home. I can’t recommend them enough! I was broke down with shot spark plugs in my Nissan Murano and the day we called, I was driving again!! They were able to squeeze me in the same day and had the best price around! They treated me like family and made sure that I was good to go! Let me tell yall about Mark! This man showed up when he said he would and confidently diagnosed the problem with the kind of ease that only comes with experience. He was not only professional but also personable as he spoke with me while resolving a problem I've been working on for over a week! In just a few minutes the work was done and with a smile, he went above and beyond looking over my engine and pointing out several small fixes that could be done to make my car run perfectly. I've done a lot of work on my car myself but when I got stuck, this man came through and got me back on the road for a price so fair I tipped him 30%. Mark, you're the real deal! Thanks again!

This is probably my first time writing a review but here I am, you’ve been warned. I’d give no stars if I could.  DO NOT CALL OR PAY FOR THIS GUYS SERVICES, NO MATTER HOW BAD OF A SITUATION YOU’RE IN. Car was having some coolant leak issues (2015 Volvo S60 T5) and was overheating to the point where driving it any further would risk the engine. So I called this guy. He came by and said he could fix it by getting the head gasket part and and changing the coolant housing. He said it would cost $700. I said ok. He went to Autozone to get the part. Part costs $127.99 at Autozone. He came back and didn’t even tell me when he arrived , you’d think most mechanics would let you know when they arrive so you can see what they’re doing but nope, decided to come downstairs after not getting a reply to a text telling him to let me know when he gets back. He said it costs $200 to my face like the internet doesn’t exist. He couldn’t have been there more than 20 minute so for a part that cost $128, he said it costed $200 and wanted $200 for labor ? Ok, But then I see him pouring in head gasket sealants into the coolant reservoir instead of actually taking apart the engine and putting in the head gasket part like he said he would. A “part” is a physical part , not some liquid sealant. Those things costs $30 or so, Blue Devil, K seal etc. Apparently he mixed a few of them and said it always works ? I’m not a mechanic but from all the videos I’ve seen on YouTube with professional mechanics with hundred of thousands to millions of views , I’ve never seen any of them mention mixing them. Not only that, he tried to charge me $400 for head gasket sealants he said he bought for $90? I was doing research and was considering buying one of them myself for $30 , why would I pay $400 for him to pour some stuff in the coolant reservoir? He really tried me so I brought the price down. But guess what, it gets worse! I figured , you know what, I appreciate the guy for coming to fix the car plus he has good reviews and if he has experience with similar issues like he says and this fixes the issues (engine overheating from coolant leaks, steaming from the hood, shakiness while driving and smoking from the exhaust), fine, whatever but I made sure to agree that if something goes wrong, he’ll check it out immediately. He said of course. Next day, I go to get an oil change like he said cause the oil in the engine is defiantly bad. The car was still over heating during the drive and I told him. Car shuts off while I’m in line at the oil spot. I ask him to check it out but he says it’s Sunday , family dinner … ok fine. Some guys at the oil change spot try to help, even bought another battery but that didn’t fix the issue, engine just won’t turn on. I told them that a mechanic worked on it the previous day and pointed to the area where he changed the coolant housing and they said that’s right next to the starter and it can’t be a coincidence this happened the next day after he worked on it and regardless , as a mechanic he should look at it since the car is not operational right after he worked on what should solve the problem. Call the guy, doesn’t pick up. Ask him what his availability is the next day (today). He says he’s booked. So you overcharge for work that should cost closer to $500 (if that) for bad quality work and don’t even follow up with your customer to resolve the issue? Man is dodging my calls like Neo in the Matrix and now my car can’t even move and he won’t even take some time to answer a call and meet up to address the issue ? Again, yal have been warned, find a way to get to a mechanic shop or go to a mobile mechanic that operates with dispatchers and multiple mechanics for jobs, they probably run more like a legit business.

This man, does everything!!!! And he’s legit with his work. BMWs and all cars. He replaced my alternator, Valves cover, pulley, tensioner, belt, cam sensor, and crank seal. And his prices ARE REASONABLE. Not like these other shops that wants to fix other problems, and then later addressing the actual important problem. Call this guy, and tip him. He loves what he does. Thanks man.

Derwin showed up to the appointment early. He did an amazing job. He was knowledgeable and informative and very professional, and he was very appreciative of me rearranging my vehicles in order to give him a shaded area in my garage to work in because it was about 90 degrees outside lol…overall 10/10 for NuBrakes.

Highly disappointed I saw the ratings for the company and thought they were be good, first a foremost I want to say my vehicle is a 2019 BMW x5, I had asked for front rotors, brakes and an oil change with filter  Upon completion which took them two attempts to gather parts, I ended up with two random lights on the car “Stop carefully brake system, the other said chassis stabilization”  These lights were not on previously, upon testing the new brake system pushing the brakes in felt like a sponge, since those lights are on I lost lots of my driving assistance the car provides  I mentioned the issue to them via text because they won’t answer the phone, and they said yes well you need rear brakes for the lights and a new sensor,  Which make no sense the rear brakes and sensors should have never been touched and were fine, and there was no lights on my car until they touched it, so something is fishy, I think they also messed up a sensor putting my car on jacks bcz my stabilization lights are on  “Maybe they aren’t experienced with BMW or other high end cars so after spending around $1000 I now have to go to bmw and spend more money for issues they caused”  Pictures below

What a great experience! Been wanting to get my brakes fixed, but could not get the time to take it to a shop. Found NuBrakes and their customer service is great- communicated effectively and even offered a discount for being a new customer. Technician Maui arrived on time at my home, and was wonderful. He worked quickly and explained what the car could still use some work on, in the future. He was in and out in way less than an hour. Will definitely use this service again.

I absolutely loved this service! Derwin was a fantastic technician who knew what he was doing and is very proud of his work. He was able to come to my apartment and change all my pads/rotors for a very great price and with a nice warranty! My car brakes so much smoother now. Definitely using NuBrakes again in the future and highly recommend them!
