I called Tuesday, discussed replacing starter on my car, I did some research, then called Wednesday at 7:10 a.m. - Everett Street Auto ordered the part, I dropped the car off, arranged for shuttle and I was able to pick up my repaired car - all in the same day. I was able to make an appointment online and given the flexibility to bring my car to the shop the night before service was scheduled. They contact through call and text and pick up was simple. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Great location!

I took my 2001 VW GTI several times here for a variety of repairs including air conditioning servicing, sunroof maintenance, axle replacement, serpentine belt replacement, system too lean caused by a brake booster vacuum hose leak, etc.  Every time I was professionally greeted, received a clear estimate for diagnosis, then a mid-day call with diagnostics results and estimate of repairs.  This is very refreshing when the VW dealer themselves are now reluctant to work on 2001 cars. No problem at Everett St, they will help you.  I feel confident that the work is well done and recommendations adequate. This is not a shop that will try to upsell by adding unnecessary services. They recommended extra work but it was justified.  I especially like the detailed invoices with services performed and comments from the technician, and the ESAW Safety Inspection. Note: they don't give you the ESAW report by default, but they will email you a copy of it right away upon request.  I'm not surprised they're getting consistent good reviews. I've had good experiences here so far.

Absolutely love this place! I've been bringing cars here for over 15 years and they've never let me down. They are very consistent and do great work. I also appreciate that I'm not taken advantage of here just because I'm a woman. They treat me the same as they do my Dad, who's also been bringing cars in for maintenance for 15+ years. Nestor is our favorite!

Unplugged my radiator fan and didnt plug it back in causing my car to overheat leaving me and my daughter stranded out of town. Now is refusing to issue a refund for his mistake. Dont trust or use this service.

Super punctual!  German came out to do a PPI for me with 2 days notice. His report was thorough and thoughtful and he even talked with me on the phone after with his own personal thoughts.  He definitely knows what he’s doing and I’ll be using him in the future.

As a single mom I needed the reassurance of having a mechanic come look at the vehicle and his pre purchase inspection was very thorough and timely.  Affordable and worth every penny . German has been great to work with.  I was experiencing a shifting issue that got my old Dodge Neon stuck in my driveway.  German was able come out to my house and replaced my shifting cable.  He made the trip out to the nearest place that had one in stock and got me up and running in the same day.  A few days later I experienced a related issue where my car would again not shift.  It appears that it was a design flaw in the part.  German made a point to come straight out the next day, and was able to create a small retaining ring in order to prevent the part from slipping out again free of charge.  I really appreciated it as the issue didn't seem to be a bad install, but rather a flimsy part, but German made it right for me and didn't charge me for the follow-up.  It can be hard to trust mechanics sometimes, but German is willing to look in the hood with me and point out what is happening.  He also noticed that I have a head-gasket leak.  I asked if that is something I could work on myself.  He said yes, explained the process, and then sent me a guide on replacing my own head gasket by email later on that day.  It's refreshing to see a true family-run mechanic business. Just two married employees! Couldn't recommend the service more.

I scheduled with Akinaspeed auto for an at home car diagnostics. I loved that I could stay home with my young son and didn't have to drop off my car and walk home or try to occupy him in a waiting room  My AC hasn't worked for 2 years, and two different shops haven't been able to find why, but both guessed it was my relay.  German was able to find that the relay was working and he found what wasn't. I'm so glad I didn't get relay replaced on a guess before!  I found him very knowledge, kind as he patiently explained everything to me.  We plan to schedule him back soon to fix what he found😊  Update: car is all fixed and ready to go! Was able to schedule an appointment to fix my car within 3 days of diagnostic (and that was over a weekend). I would definitely call Akinaspeed again!

I called this company for a diagnostic because my car wouldn’t start. The mechanic came and simply jump-started the car using a battery near the starter. I explained that I already knew it would start, but I needed a proper diagnostic to know the real issue. He told me it was just the battery cables and tightened them. He did not use any diagnostic tools or a scanner, just guessed based on his opinion. The next day, the car wouldn’t start again. When I called him back, he said it’s not his responsibility and that he “already fixed it.” I paid $154 for what was supposed to be a diagnostic, but he didn’t properly check anything. This is unprofessional and misleading. I do not recommend this service.
