Richie was punctual and extremely knowledgeable. He knew right away what to do and how to fix it without any run around. He got both cars running quickly and efficiently, I would highly recommend him and his service for all your car needs and concerns.

Richie is the best auto mechanic one can ever dream of.   He works on all type of cars,  really knowledgeable, skillful, pay attention to details.  I have two Land Rovers, and Richie has been my designated mechanic for the past two years.   We replaced CV joints, brake rotors and pads, control arms’ bushing, etc.  Besides wonderful service, his price is extreme reasonable.   Moreover,  He is always on time.   The only concern is that he is almost always fully booked.  You need to make an appointment at least 4-5 days ahead.  I am not surprised.  Everyone wants a good mechanics.

Fantastic experience with a great mechanic! My Subaru had a bent tie rod, Richie showed up promptly as scheduled, he diagnosed the problem quickly and went the extra mile literally because the parts needed were not available near by , he drove a little bit out of his way and got everything done that same morning, I stood by and he explained everything he did and was very transparent.  Please tip the man if he does work for you it’s hard to find honest mechanics like Richie he’s my go to from now on 👍

With not many good people to trust out there now a days, Rich is a righteous and stand out dude for the service and dedication he puts in to making sure everything is right and how it should be with your vehicle. I'm going through my mid life crisis. I had sold my 1965 GT Fastback that I had owned for my whole life when my kids were about four years old. They are now 24 and 22 years old and my wife agreed to let me buy another one. Not only did I buy a 65 GT FB, but I also bought a 1970 Boss 302 because like I said, I'm going through a mid life crisis and always wanted one. My Boss 302 clutch went out on the way home from the East Coast where I bought it.  My regular mechanic was busy and normally only works on BMW's and my red GT had been sitting for a few months at his shop so I needed to find a new mechanic to help out. I went online and searched and luckily found Richie Rich after reading all the reviews (yes even the one negative). I wasn't going to marry the guy I just needed to know if he could fix my car.  He showed up on time and was very responsive. He got to work right away and pulled the clutch assembly apart. He had to remanufacture the replacement clutch assembly to do the job correctly because the previous mechanic rigged it to "just make it work". I want things done correctly. He then gave me the name of his muffler/exhaust guy and had any future problems solved. He showed up there to make sure it was done properly and further adjust the clutch since it was on a lift.  Since fixing the clutch issue I'm having him replace the power steering hoses which are leaking because it was clamped when it need to be screwed in. He is also taking care of some window trim that will make the car basically in fully mint condition. I am going to include a picture of my mint 1965 GT Fastback which Richie will take care of next week because it just needs a distributor and some wires. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my classics because he is hard working, honest and has a very fair price. I even refered Richie to my neighbor who has a 1990 Corvette (paper weight) sitting in his garage for ten years not running.  I would not hesitate to call Richie Rich. I'm actually worried that my review will keep him too busy to help me in the future.

Michael and his team are great. They provide excellent service at a fair price and get the work done quickly. Have been taking all the family vehicles there for years. Highly recommend them.

Worked with Michael who was super helpful.  After approving some work to be done on my car, there were some last minute changes I wanted to make. Luckily, no parts were ordered yet and Michael was so understanding and accomadating to my car needs. Customer service was great.

I recently went in for an oil change and the shop is hidden a little bit. The man behind the counter was quick to greet me and ask what my needs were. His name was Michael he was well spoken and able to go above and beyond explaining what the milestone maintenances were for my car so I chose to do a few. He was able to complete all tasks in the said time frame and when I came back to get my car I received my receipt and a list of things done including what may be needed at future times for my records which is convenient. My vehicle actually runs much smoother now and I couldn't be more happy  this was about 3 days ago so I wanted to wait to review how my vehicle runs before providing a review. Overall I will be a return customer, would recommend.

Michael has amazing customer service! He explains my car issues to me in everyday terms. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable to make decisions that are best for me regarding my car. They always ask for consent before they do anything to my car and they give me a good price breakdown. In my experience Reliable Auto has been respectful, fair, and friendly.

I dealt with Michael. I needed to have a purchased car inspection. I was out of town and offered to pay extra to have the car picked up and dropped off. Michael declined the offer and only charged a minimal amount for the uber fee. He charged me a very fair fee for a through inspection. He sent photos, a detailed explanation and didn’t try to sell me any service. The preventive age related repairs he suggested were fairly priced. Throughout the whole process, he was professional, knowledgeable, honest and helpful. I’m very private and don’t leave reviews but I am grateful and impressed with the wonderful service and integrity of this business. Thank you.

I contacted  Jose because  I had a  nail in my right front tire on my new Tesla Y. He wa able to accommodate  my schedule  and was able to save  me  from buying a new tire. He has great  skill and communication  and good attitude  this going to be my tire shop from know on will recommend  anyone whose looking  for good work and great customer service the best in the bayarea....

Was headed to an appointment when my tire went flat.  No one else was open and Jose initially didn’t answer my first call.  Was in the ghetto of San Jose and thought I was screwed!  But then he called me back about 10 min later and took me right in.  Had my tire issue diagnosed, fix the tire, and sent me on my way in less than 20 min!   Jose, you are a badass! Very good service. My tire popped by 101 before the exit on alum rock. Since it is located downtown sj his timing was really quick and was able to get to my location within 20min. A little over an hour my tire was back on and ready to go. Definitely recommend

Highly recommend for pre purchase inspections. Dont buy a car without Charles! I do all my work on my classic cars and consider myself pretty knowledgeable for a DIYer, but I completely missed the issues Charles found with the car i was considering. He saved me from buying a shiny, freshly painted car that was hiding some pricey suspension issues.  SUPER easy to schedule on his website. Shows up on time and did the inspections with the buyer even when i was not able to be there at the same time. Great communication. Super thorough reports and also made a point of calling me after each car inspection to talk it through and answer any questions. Customer service like this doesn't exist anymore. Definitely work with this guy.  I'm so happy with the car I ended up buying and happy I didn't get any of those shiny lemons!

Very reliable, he came at a respectable time. During his inspection he wasted no time with letting me know the main issues including the cause and effect. He took as much as 20 minutes to resolve my issue and even after, he offered another respectable time he could come if to ever happen again. Would definitely recommend to the next.

Charles is an excellent mechanic, and cool person as well! I really dislike dealing with all things car related and Charles made the experience easy, comfortable, and even fun! He is extremely knowledgeable, and taught me a lot of helpful things about my car. He listened to what I needed, and solved the problem at hand quickly. I highly recommend his services!

Charles was reliable, professional and did a great job on my Volvo battery replacement! It wasn't the right battery at first but he quickly figured it out and fixed the problem. Very knowledgeable and excellent customer service.  I would highly recommend Charles and his shop!

I used Charles to replace a dead battery on a weekend. The service was convenient but expensive.  Fast forward 3 months, the car won’t start and the battery is the culprit. My regular mechanic tested the battery and determined it has a bad cell.  Taking advantage of the battery’s warranty through Charles was going to be extremely inconvenient and expensive. I’d have to take out the battery, drive it to Charles and then pay for him to drive back out to replace it. I understand his time is money, but not a great customer experience when I already overpaid for the initial service.  Just something to consider when you’re looking for a longer term relationship with a mechanic.
