Ray (owner) is super honest and does good work. My family has been going to him for years, with no complaints. I went to him for the first time today and appreciated how genuine and thorough he was. He's not the typical mechanic who tries to get over on you for money. Reputable mechanic. Highly recommend.

A very pleasant first experience using District Line Auto Service.  I had a couple of coolant lines that ruptured and needed replacing.  I called as soon as the the shop opened and Ray said he could look at the car the same day.  I was delayed a few hours in getting the car towed, but once it finally got there Ray went through diagnosing, ordering, and repairing the car in about 6 hours.  He's very communicative, sending photos and text updates along the way.  Labor prices are extremely reasonable (I've used other indy shops as well as dealerships in the region).

Gave me a great quote and then added $1000 to it at the time of check out. Super friendly service until I pushed back on the bait-and-switch and then they turned cold and stopped responding to me. Ended up just paying them to move on. Would not recommend, particularly for any women navigating auto repair solo.

I took my truck in on Labor day weekend to get the check engine light fixed. They fixed it quickly at a very fair price and didn't try to sell me anything extra. Great deal, great service would recommend 100%.

Kind service. Accepted outside parts and offered affordable pricing for two wheel bearing replacements. Affordability of pricing can depend on the job but the staff is not pushy and are happy to give you an estimate up front with no strings attached.

Got my car fixed. Great service! Frank and Lisa are so nice and helped me so much when I didn’t exactly understand what was wrong with my car and showed me what was wrong. Also very reasonable prices! Went to another auto shop and their prices were way to expensive. Definitely recommend coming here!

Frank and his children are fantastic. I live a few miles away and travel there in my car for any necessary repairs or services. Frank always helps me enter and exit via the door as quickly as possible and is incredibly patient with my inadequate explanations of the issues (i.e., "is making a noise from the front in some part"). The prices are always reasonable, and the service is prompt and expert. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in Washington, DC.

This shop charges $150 for an oil change and $50 for a tire rotation. An inspection is included with the oil change. This shop missed a dead rat, a radiator leak, and a busted engine fan. I can't recommend this place to anyone.  My experience: Making the appointment was very easy, all online. The appointment was for Saturday morning for an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. I paid $200 and was told that my transmission fluid was leaking and needed repairing. This was a Saturday and I couldn't leave my car for the weekend. As soon as I drove out the car began to overheat. I drove to Advance Autoparts to buy transmission fluid. Fortunately, I made it home safely. The following day, I measured the transmission fluid, confirmed it was super low, and refilled it (why this wasn't done at the time of oil change is beyond me?). I drove the car that day and it didn't overheat. The following morning the car overheated. I ended up taking it to a shop in Virginia, recommended by my family. In the second shop they found: my radiator leaking, my engine fan not working, possible oil and/or transmission fluid leak, and a fkn dead RAT. The VA shop repaired my radiator and replaced my fan. The leaks aren't urgent and will be taken care of later on.

Jamie and his team always do a fantastic job!  They are thoughtful, courteous and never over charge.  In fact, for simple things they often don’t charge anything. I highly recommend them

The customer service here is unmatched! This location is very busy, but the staff will always do their best to fit your car in! Very happy with my service. Will bring all of my cars back.

I have a small fleet of Turo cars and I bring many of them here for maintenance because it’s close to my home and prices are fair. The best thing about them is that, in general (unless there are special order parts), if you get them a car by 8 AM, it will be done that day — even without an appointment. Love that!

Truly shocked at all the good reviews of this place. This is perhaps the only one star review I’ve ever written in my life!  We showed up at 9am on a Saturday after having been called by the shop and told we had an appointment. The front desk worker then continually and rudely denied that we had an appointment. When we finally showed the actual call log, they just slid an intake form with no other context or apologies across for us to fill out. They then quoted us for a basic oil change at $130. We left.
